Our sustainability strategy - a holistic approach for the future

The original task of insurers is to cover long-term and existential risks. We humans are calmer - and sometimes even dare to try new things - when we feel secure. The security that the community of insured persons will stand by us if something happens. We at R+V have understood this for a long time, because our motto is "What one person cannot achieve is achieved by many".

At R+V, we don't see sustainability as a destination, but as a journey. We aim to continuously integrate more and more sustainability into our processes.,

We present our key figures, initiatives, and sustainability projects in our Sustainability Report. Since April 2025, this report has been an integral part of the non-financial section of our annual report and contains our sustainability KPIs as well as our main sustainability-related impacts, risks, and opportunities.

 

Note on data exchange

In accordance with the legal provisions of the EU Taxonomy Regulation, we make our loss-related data available to public authorities free of charge for the purpose of improving adaptation to climate change. This is subject to the condition that authorities can demonstrate the data will be used for analyses aimed at improving society's adaptation to climate change.
